Grandmaster Rob Olevsky

Olevsky is a 10th Degree Black Belt in Karate, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kendo (AUSKF), a 6th Degree Black Belt in Sanshinkai Jujitsu, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Judo (USJA), and holds an Olympic Judo Coach Certification.

Grandmaster Olevsky began studying Martial Arts in 1974 and achieved his first Black Belt in 1976. After 16 years of study, he was awarded the Master Instructor Level in Sanshinkai Karate. He started a full-time career in Martial Arts at the age of 22 as a Black Belt in Karate and opened his first school in 1979. Rob and his wife Kathy oversee Karate International which has multiple locations in North Carolina.

Grandmaster Olevsky is well known for his ability to retain Black Belts as students and attributes that success to his desire to continue to be a student himself. With advanced level Black Belts in multiple disciplines, he is recognized as the go-to person to develop an organization.

Rob’s students know him as an instructor who leads with compassion which maintains his student’s desire to return each week.
